Sophie Welsh (University of Exeter)

Sophie Welsh is a first-year PhD student in English at the University of Exeter and University of Southampton working on Hardy, Wessex and the Wider World. Her academic interests lie in space and place, historiography, and archives. She is the recipient of an AHRC SWW DTP Collaborative Doctoral Award and so aside from her project on Hardy’s Wessex landscape she also works with her sponsors, the Dorset County Museum and Dorset History Centre, in public engagement.
